About us

Andean Global Studies was born in Ecuador, created by people who have worked in education and cultural studies for many years. We have mastered the art of foreign languages study, as well as the ins and outs of travelling, living and working in a foreign country. Andean Global Studies' objective has always been to present Ecuadorian culture through the lens of its languages.

Our Philosophy, Mission and Vision

Andean Global Studies seeks the competitive engagement of Ecuador, its people, culture and language in a globalized world. We believe that Spanish and Quichua act as doorways into Ecuadorian and Andean culture, and tools to communicate the historic, economic, social and environmental realities that Latin American people face. We think that the diffusion of our regional languages contributes to the development of a society without borders, wherein all people can exchange visions for a better world.

It is our belief that education must always meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism, organically integrating its various elements and learning dimensions. As such, we are committed to permanent self-improvement as an institution, achieved through continuous training courses and evaluation of our services.

We consider as a key point, the respect for the differences and diversity of all human beings.

Our mission is to provide a cultural exchange experience, through Spanish and Quichua instruction, in a manner that is effective and responsive to the needs of our students.

Our vision is to be a leader and a reference point in the world of Latin American Studies and language instruction.

Our Faculty

We take pride in our highly skilled team of professionals. Our faculty and administrative staff have achieved excellence in language instruction, as well as numerous specialties in the field of Latin American Studies. Fifty percent of our teachers have post-graduate or doctorate degrees and all of our staff are experienced in teaching Spanish and using the AGS method.

Institute Facilities

• AGS provides a comfortable and well-equipped learning environment, a multiple use recreation room, video and audio equipments, garden, terrace and cafeteria. AGS also offers its students the following services free of charge:

Branches and Partner Schools

AGS Institute is based in Quito; however, it also has branches and partner schools in different regions of Ecuador—including schools in the cities of Manta, Montanita, Cuenca and Baños—which allow our students to travel as they continue their studies.

AGS International

•  AGS Institute maintains a network of international representatives and institutional contacts in Germany, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, France and the United States, amongst other nations. Our representatives allow us to maintain more personal contact with our students and provide them more support before and after their study programs.
